The Villa

St. Julian's

Formerly the summer residence of Chevalier Antonio Cassar Torregiani, one of Malta’s leading 20th-century industrialists, The Villa stands as a fine example of Maltese architecture. Torregiani, enamored with the waterfront location, commissioned a magnificent staircase designed by his father-in-law, Giuseppe Cali. This addition transformed the humble farmhouse into a stunning home with a palatial entrance. Upon Torregiani’s death in 1959, the property passed to his son Frank, who resided there until his passing in 1973. The Villa remained a family home until 1989, when it was sold to a consortium that developed the now Le Méridien St. Julian’s on its grounds.

Completed in 2006, The Villa quickly became one of the hotel’s most distinctive features. This 19th-century property, situated in the heart of St. Julian’s, boasts breathtaking sea views. Fully renovated, it now offers top-notch facilities suitable for any occasion. The Villa’s unique charm lies in its versatility—a truly multifunctional venue nestled in Malta’s bustling tourist and business center, enhanced by amenities that perfectly complement its prime seaside location.
