Ta’ Frenc exudes chic elegance. Its walls showcase original works by local artists and a collection of traditional Maltese clocks, while lovely decanters adorn niches throughout. Located directly on the Valletta Waterfront is a hidden treasure unknown to most: the Sagrestia Vault. Annexed to a 16th-century vault is a chapel dedicated to the Flight of the Holy Family to Egypt. Its narrow façade ensures it won’t be dominated by the large warehouse vaults and embraces all the typical elements of a larger, domineering church. This demure structure makes for a unique and intimate venue. In combination with the Sagrestia Vault, the chapel can serve as a receiving area—an exciting entrance for displaying an exhibition or hosting an intimate cocktail reception following a film premiere or concert. It’s truly a little gem on the Valletta Waterfront.
